Why are we doing Town Hall meetings?

At the direction of GSMW’s Board of Directors the Annual Meeting business will be conducted differently this year.

Our hope is that this format will allow for more of our membership to participate and provide members with an opportunity to engage in dialogue with council staff on matters of importance to Girl Scouts.

Where will the Annual Meeting/Town Hall take place?

There are ten (10) meeting sites scheduled, at least one in each membership region. Please register to reserve your place. Seats are limited.

  • Northwest Montana= Kalispell
  • Billings/Eastern Montana= Billings and Miles City
  • Northcentral Montana = Great Falls
  • Northeast Wyoming/Southeast Wyoming = Gillette
  • Southwest Montana = Missoula
  • Southwest Wyoming =  Rock Springs
  • Southcentral Montana  = Bozeman
  • Southeast Wyoming =  Cheyenne and Casper

Since the Annual Meeting/Town Hall includes volunteer recognition, can my family and friends come?

You may invite family and friends to come and attend the meeting to celebrate with you if you are receiving an award.    All individuals (adults/children) in attendance must register through e-Biz. The cost is $15 per person and includes lunch/dinner. Volunteers who are being recognized will be reimbursed for their fee.

Please note there are no separate girl activities and there is no childcare available.  Girls that are not serving in a delegate capacity must be accompanied by an adult. You will need the assistance of your CDM (Community Development Director) to register girls under the age of 14.

Are there any activities for girls to do during the meeting? 

There will be no separate activities for girls to participate in during the meeting.  If children under the age of 18 attend this event their interest in attending would be to; serve as a girl delegate for their membership area, or to support a volunteer that is being recognized.

What if there is inclement weather?

During the winter months, Montana and Wyoming experiences inclement weather and hazardous travel/road conditions.

If severe inclement weather or other emergency requires the cancellation of a scheduled meeting, the cancellation will be communicated

Through a variety of media such as :  email to registrants, website posting, recorded message-main office.

In the event a meeting is cancelled, you may transfer your registration to another meeting time/location scheduled or request a refund of fee paid.

How many people must attend/register for a meeting to be held?

There is no minimum number of members or non-members that must register to attend the 2014 Annual Meeting/Town Hall.

Where is the “Board Slate” located?

The board slate of candidates is available in the delegate packet.  The delegate packet will be sent to all Delegates elected or chosen for each membership area.

The delegate packet will be sent out via email to delegates starting February 7, 2014 and posted on our website.

 Can I attend an Annual Meeting/Town Hall scheduled that is convenient for me but might be outside my membership area?

 Yes, you may attend a location that is convenient for you.  You are not restricted to attend a location based on where you live or your membership area.
