Calling all girls in the Bozeman area: Are you creative? Do you like to develop new ideas and build from concepts? Are you math and science savvy? Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming is looking for a FIRST Tech Challenge Team to conceive, build, and compete in challenges using a modular robotics platform–an ideal mechanical system offering a broad range of functionality with a simplistic design.
Through the Motorola FIRST Lego League grant, we are offering girls ages 14 to 18 the opportunity to hone in on their creative and scientific skills for FREE! All program materials and fees are provided. Girls will receive hands-on programming and rapid-prototyping experience, develop problem-solving and organizational skills, and will apply real-world math and science concepts to the engineering process. Only 10 girls will be accepted.
The FIRST Tech Challenge series will run from September 2011 through February 2012 and will culminate in a state-wide competition in Bozeman, MT. The team must be assembled by August 22, 2011. Reserve your spot today!
