Sandy Luthy

of Cody, WY

Nominated by: Briana Rickman

Sandy is the true definition of a Girl Scout. She believes in our mission with her heart and soul and leads not only her troop, but her community with courage, confidence, and character. She believes that all girls deserve the opportunity to expand their leadership skills and to have the best experience possible.  She’s always the first to volunteer her ideas and time to recruit and retain Cody area girls. Not only does she focus on Cody membership, but is also a member of the 100 year anniversary committee. She has been a previous Service Unit Manager for a few years and is currently mentoring the new Cody SU Manager. This year, she is the Service Unit’s Program Coordinator and Registrar. She keeps all leaders and parents up-to-date with Service Unit and Council events via their Service Unit Facebook page. She’s also in training to become an area volunteer facilitator for the council.  Sandy is a great problem solver and accepts all challenges face on. Because of her dedication, hard work, and leadership skills, I cannot think of a more deserving person for this recognition.

  1. This amazing multi-position volunteer has her heart and GS-business-mind in the right place. I am staff on another council (Desert Southwest west Texas & Southern New Mexico) and I love this ‘Volunteer of the Month’ highlight. Kudos to Sandy for truly making a difference throughout the years.
