Wacky Science-Cheyenne (Grades K-5)

Girls, put on your lab coat and goggles and dig into some wacky and wild science. We will be performing some unusual experiments. Come write with invisible ink, make a balloon rocket, become a doctor to some worms, and more as we work together to explore how things work. A Wacky Science afternoon will provide girls with the opportunity to get messy and be creative while learning by doing.

In an afternoon, girls will transform into a mad scientist as they perform tests with static electricity, play tricks with milk, make a balloon rocket, discover Bernoulli's principles of aerodynamics, investigate Newton's first law, and learn how lungs work.

At this program, Girl Scouts will be introduced to a wide variety of science disciplines. Several experiment stations will be set up for the girls to rotate through and many of the experiments can be brought home.

Girls will receive lab coat, goggles, and a fun patch. Light healthy snack provided.

Do you have a friend who is not a Girl Scout? Not a problem! Membership is only $12.00 for the year and $6.00 to attend. Have her sign up and enjoy a fun afternoon together.

This event is open to girls in grades K-5 and supervising adults.

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.

Visit our FAQs page for information on refunds and other policies.
