Compost Stew #2-Casper (Grades 4-12)

What's in a stew? For compost stew it is a combination of organic material and water. Girls will learn what is takes to create compost, as well as, make their own with worms. What's in dirt? Did you know that good dirt can effect the quality of produce and flowers that are growing. Plants like humans need good food to be healthy and strong. Join the Girl Scouts in learning about different kinds of compost, such as brown vs. green.

Girls will see all the different ways to compost and try their hands at worm compost. Some badge requirements will be filled by participating in this program. Each level of Girl Guide inspires girls to discover something about nature. This program will be the first step to earning the naturalist badge. Girls will also receive a fun patch.

Not a Girl Scout? Not a problem! Membership is only $12.00 for the year and $3.00 to attend Compost Stew. This is a great time to experience what the Girl's Guide and It's Your Planet - Love It! Journeys can offer. Register now and be part of the coolest dirt program in Casper!

This event is open to girls in grades 4-12, friends, and supervising adults.
