Zink the Zebra-Libby (Grades K-5)
Zink is a zebra with spots instead of stripes. At this event, we will provide a fun and unique program that celebrates people's differences through crafts and fun activities based on the story of this very special zebra. Through a delightful and engaging storybook, participants will meet Zink and participate in activities that help girls understand that it's okay to be different. Zink also teaches girls about the perils of bullying, how to be a good friend, and what girls can do to help others feel special and appreciated.
This national program is aimed at teaching girls about acceptance, respect, compassion and understanding. Activities include storytelling, role playing, playing games, making a puppet, and more. Girls will also hear the story of the courageous young author of 'Zink the Zebra', Kelly Weil, and why she was inspired to write the story. In addition, girls will get to take home a Zink the Zebra stuffed animal.
This would also be a terrific event to bring a friend, so for this event only, we are allowing each registered girl to bring one friend for free. The friend will also get a Zink the Zebra stuffed animal.
A light snack is also included in the price.
This event is open to girls in grades K-5 and supervising adults.
