Wacky Science-Red Lodge (Grades K-5)

Put on your lab coat and goggles and prepare to get your hands dirty and learn all about science! Girls will have an opportunity to perform wacky, messy, science experiments and learn why they work. Have you ever wanted to see what happens when you put a skewer through a balloon (it may surprise you!)? Why sugar only tastes sweet at the tip of your tongue and not the back? At this program, girls will do these experiments and more! Join your friends and come be a 'mad scientist' for an evening.

The 'Wacky Science' program will provide girls with an opportunity to try fun, messy science experiments while learning what causes the reactions. At this program, several experiment stations will be set up and girls will rotate through them, learning about chemical reactions, viscosity, polymers and more. Don't know what those are? You will when you finish this program!

This FREE event is open to all girls in grade K-5. Not a Girl Scout? That's okay! Come and check out the event for FREE and learn about all of the fun and exciting opportunities that Girl Scouts has to offer!

This event is open to girls in grades K-5 and supervising adults.

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.

Visit our FAQs page for information on refunds and other policies.
