Jackson Hole Nature Observer-Jackson Hole (Grades K-5)

Gear up for an adventure in Jackson, Wyoming! Art and the outdoors will be featured at this event. Girls will explore the natural and artistic world at the Elk Refuge with a Naturalist and at the Wild Life Art Museum with a Curator. To start the morning you will meet at the Jackson Hole Visitor Center. Girls will team up with a Naturalist at the visitor center, where they will earn the Jr. Blue Goose Patch! To earn this patch you will explore the exhibits, observe animals and habitats, and complete activities in your very own Jr. Ranger activity book.

Finish up your patch and hop on a sleigh for a ride through the Elk Refuge and see the thousands of elk that come into the valley during winter and early spring. (Depending on the amount of snow the sleigh ride may be a wagon ride.)

Once girls have explored the natural world they will visit the Wildlife Art Museum and see the amazing art featuring wildlife from around the world. Girls in grades 2-5 will earn the Artist Legacy Badge. (Girls in grades K-1 will create art as well but will not be earning a badge.)To earn this badge girls will complete the 4 steps while in the museum, surrounded by beautiful oil paintings of wild horses and bronze sculptures of bears.

A lunch will be provided for both girls and registered adults. Sign up soon so you don't miss out on this exciting outdoor and artistic adventure in beautiful Jackson Hole.
