Get Fit!-Cheyenne (Grades 4-8)
Do you love to crank up the music and dance? Do you want to discover your inner goddess? Girls are invited to enjoy this 4 week series experiencing Zumba and Yoga in a fun and encouraging environment. Zumba is a fitness program that is taking the world by storm. It is a combination of Latin Grooves and easy-to-follow moves. You will enjoy learning some of the coolest dance moves around. Zumba will teach you how to dance, exercise and have fun doing it.
Yoga increases strength, flexibility and concentration while building self-esteem. Participants learn techniques to appreciate their body, mind, and spirit through breath and yoga poses. Leave the workshop with a new sense of self, respect for movement, and discover patience.
Session 1: April 15 - Zumba
Session 2: April 22 - Yoga
Session 3: April 29 - Zumba
Session 4: May 6 - Yoga
Classes will be held on Monday nights beginning promptly at 4:30pm. Please be aware that late arrivals will miss some of the program. Supervising adults are welcome to participate.
Fee covers all 4 sessions plus Girls will receive a Yoga fun patch and light healthy snack. This series will work out great for Junior girls who want to complete some steps for the Staying Fit badge.
This event is open to girls in grades 4-8 and supervising adults.
