Wind River Rafting 1-Thermopolis(Grades 2-12)

Put on your swim gear and meet us at the river! Wind River canyon is picturesque in the summer
time - especially on a raft! Girls and their families will enjoy an afternoon on the water. Girls will go on a 2 hour scenic rafting trip with the top rafting instructors from Wind River Rafting. The Wind River cuts through a beautiful canyon between Shoshoni and Thermopolis. The canyon is perfect for rafting with a few small rapids. This trip is perfect for Girl Scouts and their friends and family. Floating down the Wind River will provide numerous photo opportunities, so make sure to pack a camera!

Girls should eat lunch before the program and bring a snack with. Although it is only a couple of hours rafting in the sun can consume a lot of calories.

Girls 7 years of age and older are welcome to participate in this wonderful opportunity. 2nd and 3rd girls will need at least one adult to accompany them.

If you are looking for more adventure check out Wind River Rafting 2.

Siblings are welcome to participate, but need to abide by the same age requirements.

Bring a friend or family member. Not a Girl Scout? Not a problem! Membership is only $12.00 for the year and $35.00 to attend Wind River Rafting.

Put on your swim gear and meet us at the river!

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.

Visit our FAQs page for information on refunds and other policies.
