Brownie Pottery at the Square-Great Falls (Grades 2-3)
Join your fellow Brownies in a fun night of creative expression with clay! Learn how to work with clay, 'throw' pots on the pottery wheel, and create some fantastic art!
First, you'll tour the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art and view their collection of pottery. Then it's off to the clay studio, where you'll learn how to be a potter yourself! You'll have the chance to express your own creativity as you craft your own piece of pottery and learn how to use a potter's wheel. Then you'll create a sculpture out of clay. Finally, you will glaze and fire your pieces, and VOILA! You'll have your very own pottery pieces to show off!
All participants will earn the Brownie Potter badge upon completion of the program.
'Recruit a Friend:' Make this event even more memorable by bringing your best NON-Girl Scout friends too! Show them how much fun you can have as a Girl Scout and share this wonderful experience together! Earn a 'Recruit a Friend' patch for each new Girl Scout. Sign up soon so you don't miss out on the fun! Non-Girl Scouts will pay the annual membership fee of $12 in addition to the program fee, which will enable them to attend all Girl Scout programs for the membership year. Your new Girl Scout friends will also earn the Brownie Potter Badge.
