Camp Spear-O-Wigwam-Sheridan (Grades 6-12)

Looking for an outdoor summer adventure? Summer outdoor adventure awaits you in the Bighorn Mountains. Paddle a canoe, hop on a horse, learn to geocache, relax with yoga and more! �
Grab a friend and spend an unforgettable week at the historic Spear-o-Wigwam Sheridan College Mountain Campus in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. You will also explore birding and making a birdhouse as well wilderness survival and hiking and crafts. Imagine stargazing in the mountains without any city lights obstructing the night sky!

Spear-O-Wigwam is operated by Sheridan College and is offering this camping experience just for Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts will provide the supervision with college staff providing the learning and exploring expertise. Spear-O-Wigwam is located in the Bighorn Mountains 28 miles south of Sheridan, Wyoming. All meals will be provided in the lodge. Do a web search for Spear-O-Wigwam to see photos and read about the history of this historic and beautiful ranch.

A $100 deposit is required at time of registration and the remaining fee must be paid in full by July 26, 2013.

Space is limited to 20 girls in grades 6-12. Grab a friend and register soon for this special opportunity offered just for Girl Scouts! Have a friend that is not a Girl Scout? Not a problem! Have them pay the yearly registration fee of $12 and they can join you on this summer adventure of a lifetime!

This event is open to girls in grades 6-12 and supervising adults.

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.
