Dino Dig -Thermopolis (Grades 2-8)
Have you always wanted to dig for dinosaurs? Now is your chance! Spend time digging for bones as well as have fun on this overnight adventure at the Wyoming Dinosaur Museum. Did you know that Wyoming is the home of the first ever discovered Triceratops? While on this unique opportunity you will get to go on your own dinosaur discovery.
Girls will be introduced to the world of geology at the Wyoming Dinosaur Museum. This is a two day program. During the day all girls will go on digs with trained scientists to excavate real dinosaur bones! Thermopolis is home of a Jurassic seaway that is full of fossils. You will get to go in this seaway and go on a fossil hunt. Explore the many different fossils and choose three which you will get to keep! The Paleontologists will lead girls on a tour of the prep lab and see first hand where casts are made and bones are treated and cleaned.
After an exciting day you will have a sleep over at the museum. The night will consist of dinner, exploring the museum and enjoying the movie 'Night at the Museum'.
The price includes 2 days of digging, food and a night time sleep over. Plan to bring water with you as you will be outside for most of the day and it is important to stay hydrated.
