Pathways

Take Action & Go for the Glitter-Cut Bank (Grades 4-Adults)

Are you a girl who wants to begin a Silver or Gold Award, but don’t know where to start?  Or an adult volunteer advising girls on a Highest Award?  Or maybe a troop leader working through a Journey with your girls, but you don’t know how to tackle that Take Action Project?  This interactive workshop is for YOU!

This training will incorporate the outcomes of all three Girl Scout Keys to Leadership: Discover, Connect, and Take Action, with a heavy focus on the outcomes of the Take Action Key.  The difference between Service and Take Action projects will be covered, as well as community mapping, and an overview of the requirements and paperwork necessary for a successful Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award Project.  Participants will be interacting with each other, brainstorming ideas, and working through the process of planning a Take Action Project, so bring your ideas!

Each participant will receive a copy of the Adult and/or Girl Guidelines for the Bronze, Silver and/or Gold Awards.

Participants should bring a small (1/2”) binder or folder.

This training is for troop leaders at any level; adult volunteers advising Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award Projects; and Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who wish to begin working on Silver or Gold Award Projects.
