Winter Olympics Ski Day-Bozeman (Grades 2-12)
In honor of the 2014 Winter Olympics, Girl Scouts of MT & WY is hosting winter sports programs to promote healthy living and outdoor adventure! Attend two GSMW 'Winter Olympics' programs and earn a 'Girl Scout Gold Medal'. Check www.GSMW.org for more Winter Olympics programs.
Improve your ski skills, and have fun with your Girl Scout friends at Bridger Bowl Ski Area! Certified ski instructors will work with small groups of girls to help them sharpen their turns, stops, and ski cruising skills. Participants will take lessons and ski with girls in their age and ability range. Thanks to Bridger Bowl's generosity, girls will save up to $40 on the complete ski package!
After their lesson, girls can practice their new skills on the Snowflake beginner chair, or for an extra $8.00 lift ticket, girls can explore the lower mountain for the rest of the day. The cost of the program includes the 1.5 hour lesson, the beginner chair lift pass, and rental equipment including a helmet. There are different price options if you have your own ski gear and helmet. Helmets are required.
Parents and troop leaders should bring their girls to the cafeteria at Jim Bridger Lodge by 8:15am. Adult registration is not available for this event. Adults are welcome to ski on their own at the regular Bridger Bowl prices.
The registration for this program is 3 WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT! Participants will be required to submit skier and rental agreements by 5PM on Friday, January 10th.
Please call Sarah (1.800.736.5243 x2306) if you can help organize the girls into a group at the Jim Bridger Lodge on the morning of the event and to help them check-out at 4pm. Girls must dress warm in synthetic or non-cotton clothes and layer them under coats and pants that are water resistant. They also need to bring their own snacks and lunches or money to purchase snacks and lunches at the cafeteria.
To register, please select one of four pricing options: lesson, rental, beginner lift $35; lesson, beginner lift $20; lesson, rental, lower mountain lift $43; lesson, lower mountain lift $28. You must pay the rental fee if you do not bring your own skis, boots, and helmet.
The Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming has received a grant from the Charlotte Y. Martin Foundation to increase opportunities for girls to lead active, healthy lifestyles. This grant makes it possible to discount this program further.
This event is open to girls in grades 2-12 and supervising adults.
