HomestakeLodge in Whitehall is hosting the Girl Scouts of MT & WY for an awesome day of cross country skiing. At 10AM girls will meet in the main lodge for check in. Then, everyone will go to the rental shop together to try on their ski gear. After that, girls will take an hour long lesson. Then, it will be lunch time followed by 'open skiing' until 2PM. The group lessons arranged for this event are open only to girl participants. Girls will be divided into groups according to age and ability.
Parents and troop leaders can attend this event, but the price does not include a lesson. Parents are encouraged to participate in the 'open ski' session with their girls, and they are welcome to free ski while girls are in their lesson. Homestake Lodge will also appreciate adult supervision while the girls are in the lodge. Adult supervisors are welcome to attend the event without paying. If you are willing to help supervise please contact Sarah 1-800-736-5243 x2306. Girl Scouts and parents are expected to observe the Girl Scout Promise and Law at all times, and parental supervision can help everyone remember that we represent all Girl Scouts.
Homestake Lodge has given the Girl Scouts and their family an incredible deal by offering everything at half-price. Including the lesson, rentals, and trail pass, girls can participate for $15. Parents can get rentals and a trail pass for $17.50. Supervising adults who will not be skiing are free. Please choose your option when registering. Youth who are not registered Girl Scouts can purchase rentals and a trail pass for $10 on the day of the event. To get the discount, let them know you are with the Girl Scout group.
Lunch is available in lodge in the form of homemade soup and rolls for $6. Soda or drinks are $1.50 or $2. Homemade cookies are $2. Everyone is invited to bring their own lunches, too.
