Travel Through Time-Great Falls (Grades 4-5)
Come to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center to recreate the past and create special projects to take home. Travel through time and become the modern day Sacajawea, Lewis or Clark.
There will be four rotations of projects and activities. First, you will work toward your Scribe Badge, creating your very own journal, similar to what Lewis and Clark had. You can record your experiences at the other activities. Then it's off to the Jeweler's table where you will create jewelry similar to what they had during Lewis and Clark's travels! After that, it's outside you go to work toward your Animal Habitat Badge. Be sure you dress appropriately for the weather. The last station involves activities working towards the Playing the Past Badge. Girls will dream up a character from Lewis and Clark's expedition and get ready to live history.
Adults who register will participate alongside the girls doing the same activities.
Not a Girl Scout? Not a Problem! Any girl can register as a Girl Scout and attend this enriching event.
'Recruit a Friend:' Girls can make this event even more memorable by bringing their best NON-Girl Scout friends too! Show them how much fun they can have as a Girl Scout and share this wonderful experience together! Earn a 'Recruit a Friend' patch for each new Girl Scout. Contact Kande or Kali Jean at 800-736-5243 to get your patch. The friend will need to register with GSMW and pay the program fee by the registration deadline in order to participate.
This program is made possible by a partnership with Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.
This event is open to girls in grades 4-5 and supervising adults.
