Artist at Work-Helena (Grades K-5)
Join your fellow Girl Scouts in a fun afternoon of creative expression with clay! Learn how to make functional pottery off the potter’s wheel, paint your pinch pots, and learn how to add basic glazing.
It's off to the clay studio, where you'll learn how to be a potter yourself! You'll have the chance to express your own creativity as you craft your own piece of pottery. Then you'll create a sculpture out of clay. Finally, you will paint and glaze, and VOILA! You'll have your very own pottery pieces to show off! Due to the need for the pottery to be fired, all pieces will be ready to be picked up at Free Ceramics by March 21st.
Brownies that complete this program will have earned their Potter Badge. (Badge is not included in the price of the program.)
Not a Girl Scout yet? Not a problem! Sign up today and you can register for this artistic event.
'Recruit a Friend:' Girls can make this event even more memorable by bringing their best NON-Girl Scout friends too! Show them how much fun they can have as a Girl Scout and share this wonderful experience together! Earn a 'Recruit a Friend' patch for each new Girl Scout. Contact Kande or Kali Jean at 800-736-5243 to take advantage of the Girl Scout membership offer prior to the registration deadline. The friend will need to register with GSMW and pay the program fee by the registration deadline in order to participate.
