A Night At The Museum-Great Falls (Grades 2-5)
Join us for an overnight experience filled with art, learning and fun under the roof of one of Great Falls' most historic buildings - Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art!
Programming will include break-out sessions with professionally trained artists. A variety of activities are planned for Girl Scouts which include making art projects to take home; gallery activities; one of the 'Night at the Museum' films, and potluck snacks to share.
Girls will not only be building a small project out of clay for the upcoming Mother's Day holiday, they will be creating Easter Cards for Deployed Military using collage and watercolor techniques. Also, Girl Scouts will learn how to interpret what they value into a finished drawing using ledger paper and colored pencils.
Scouts are encouraged to arrive in their sleeping attire!
Please make sure that you have had your evening meal prior to arrival as dinner will not be served. Girl Scouts and Leaders are encouraged to bring a dish or drink item to share during the film screening. All adults that register will be asked to stay for the duration of the program and help supervise girls. The Paris Gibson Museum of Art will be on lock down during this overnight event.
Encourage a friend who is not yet a Girl Scout to register and join you for this unique experience spending the night in a museum!
Participants will be sleeping on hardwood floors as a group. No tents or air mattresses are permitted; sleeping bags, pillows, and a sleeping pad work well. Please dress appropriately for community sleeping. Access to electrical outlets available for persons with special needs.
