Hands Across the Border-Saskatchewan (Ages 10 & up)

Join with fellow Girl Scouts and Girl Guides at the annual Hands Across the Border to be held in Regina, Saskatchewan. This year's weekend camp is 'Girl Scouts, Out and About' with a Dr. Suess theme. It will be a weekend full of Dr. Suess stories and different activities that go along with them. Dr. Suess has a lot of wacky characters, so you never know what could happen!

Hands Across the Border started 26 years ago and alternates between Montana and Canada each year. It is a weekend camp for troops and girls must be at least 10 years old to attend. Each troop is responsible for bringing their own First Aider. Troops will be camping in tents and meals will be served in a hall.
The camp will be held at Glen Harbour Camp on Last Mountain Lake in Canada.

Please check the website of for the proper documents both adults and youth will need to travel across the border into Canada.

Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming will not be taking registrations for this event. All paperwork and payment will be sent to the organizers. Registration must be completed by April 18, 2014. See the attachments for information, registration forms and a supply list. If you have questions, please contact Sherry Thompson whose information is on the letter.

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.

Visit our FAQs page for information on refunds and other policies.
