Night at the Museum-Missoula (Grades 2-8)
SpectrUM Discovery Area is hosting a fun-filled evening of hands-on science adventures just for our Girl Scouts. Girls, it's time for us to step into the lead as scientists and take over the museum for a night of engineering, technology, and life science amusement. This evening of science fun will kickoff your dreams of becoming the next female science hero!
After a delicious pizza dinner, the SpectrUM science party staff will lead girls through extreme hands-on science experiments based on the famous PBS SciGirls TV show. Girls will be grouped according to age, so every girl will be challenged in just the right way. Experiments will include 'squishy circuits' and 'digital bling'!
From their Brain Lab to their Watershed Table, SpectrUM revolutionizes how kids think about science. Girls will splash and play, look through microscopes, and delve deep into neurons as the peruse the engaging museum exhibits.
This event will also kickoff the new SciGirls Club that will welcome girls to SpectrUM once a week through the month of May. Details about the club will be revealed at this kickoff event.
Girls, make sure to tell your friends! Any girl in grades 2-12 is welcome to join - just get them signed up as a Girl Scout for $15 and then we'll help get them registered for the event. If you recruit a friend to come along, you'll earn a 'Recruit a Friend' patch. Call Sarah for details or to register a friend: 1.800.736.5243.
This event is open to girls in grades 2-8 and supervising, registered adults. Adult space is limited because of limited space in the museum.
