First Tee Golf for Girls-Billings (Grades 2-12)
Are you ready to have fun and learn all about the great game of golf? Sign up for golf lessons and not only will you learn to play golf or improve on the skills you already have, you will also explore how the skills you learn through golf can be applied to your everyday life. Round up your girlfriends and register for this great golf series which is just for girls! This first session costs $15, which includes lessons for 4 weeks; May 6, 13, 20 and 27. Whether you have never golfed before, are a beginner or play golf well, this girl's golf program is for you. Participants will have hands on instruction and will learn about the rules of golf, golf etiquette, chipping, putting and full swing.
Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming and The First Tee of Montana are working together to offer girls in grades 2-12 golf lessons this summer. Girls should be 7 years old to attend. Girls will have fun as they learn to golf or improve on the golf skills they already have.
The First Tee is an international nonprofit organization that promotes character development and teaches life skills through the game of golf. The program actively engages youth in its nine core values;honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, courtesy, responsibility, confidence, perseverance and judgment while teaching them skills on the golf course.
Golf equipment will be provided or girls may bring their own clubs. All girls participating must be a registered Girl Scout ($15 yearly membership fee). Girls do not need to be in a troop to attend. This program is funded in part by the LPGA and all girls attending will receive a one time gift pack from the LPGA which includes a backpack, hat, ball marker and more.
Supervising adults are needed so please register if you plan on attending. (Golf instruction is for girls only.)
