SciGirls Club-Missoula (Grades 2-8)

Be a part of this awesomely inclusive science club just for girls! Try new experiments each week, meet new friends, explore the museum, and have fun learning about science, technology, engineering, and math! GSMW and SpectrUM are teaming up to provide girls with an innovative after school program that promotes girls interest in STEM.

Every Thursday in May, girls can come to SpectrUM from 3:30 to 5PM to get one-on-one and group instruction on science explorations focusing on robotics, crime investigation, technology, engineering, and environmental science. These won't be your regular science lessons, girls. The SciGirls program is based on the famous TV show and the world-famous approach to engaging girls in STEM. Every activity is fun, hands-on, relevant to their life in Southwest Montana, and, as always, the activities will require teamwork and innovation.

Financial Aid is available from SpectrUM. Call SpectrUM (728-STEM) if you would like financial assistance to pay for your SciGirls Club experience (do not register through ebiz). Snacks are included! Attend all five sessions in May, and you'll receive a special Girl Scouts STEM award. We will also celebrate on the last day with an ice cream party!

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.

Visit our FAQs page for information on refunds and other policies.
