Outdoor Survival-Camp Castle Rock, Butte (Grades 6-12)

Back by popular demand, Outdoor Survival at Camp Castle Rock will test your outdoor skills. During this interactive camping event, girls will learn about techniques that could save their lives. Instructors will discuss orienteering, fire building, survival techniques and more. Girls will also put together a personal survival kit they can take home. This event will cover winter survival skills too!

Girls check in Friday after dinner and spend the evening getting acquainted while doing hands-on classes on First Aid, fire building and fire starting techniques, knots, knife safety, shelter building, and much more. On Saturday, girls will split into groups to learn orienteering and build a shelter that they can choose to spend the night in. Program cost includes all meals (except dinner Friday) and survival kit materials.

Because of the nature of this training and the seriousness of the topic, this program is only open to girls in 6th grade and up. Supervising adults are welcome. Camp begins at 7 p.m. Friday, September 28 and runs through noon on Sunday, September 30.

This event is open to girls in grades 6-12 and supervising adults.
