Girls Golf 3-Missoula (Grades K-12)
Girl Scouts of MT & WY and the University of Montana Golf Course are working together to bring you a monthly Girls Golf Program. The instructors include the course golf professional as well as a member of the UM Golf team - both are amazing women role models. The three-hour program will include snacks, drinks, and games.
The UM Golf Course will provide one golf program a month to our Girl Scouts. Attend two 'Girls Golf' programs, and receive a special Girl Scouts golf fun patch! Girls in grades K through 12 will learn to play golf or increase golf skills, build lasting friendships, and experience competition in a fun, supportive environment. The program aims to prepare girls for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game.
Girls Golf will provide a solid instructional foundation for girls who want to:
*Get an introduction to golf skills
*Increase existing golf skills
*Get hands-on help from a PGA professional
*Play for fun with friends and family
*Learn for a future career in business
*Compete at high school, college, and/or local, state and national levels
*Learn a sport that you can play for a lifetime
The fee also includes snacks. Golf clubs will be provided to the girls if needed, and there are scholarships available for the program fees. Parents are welcome to stay at the course during the lesson (you can bring your clubs and practice, too). Only registered adults can expect to help supervise at the actual lesson, however.
When registering, in the 'Special Needs' box, please indicate whether the participant will need to borrow golf clubs, and indicate the participant's height.
This event is open to girls in grades K-12 and supervising adults.
