American Sign Language-Brownies

In this program, participants will learn the basics of sign language. American Sign Language (ASL) is one of most common languages used in the United States. Different from spoken language, American Sign Language is a visual language.

The program is designed to give participants an understanding and appreciation for those that use sign language to communicate.

Participants will learn to count to 10, sign the Girl Scout Promise, sign their name, and sign other common words used in sign language.

Participants will earn the GSMW sign language badge at this program.

Program registration deadlines are extremely important for our council.

Knowing the number of girls attending our programs in advance helps us:
  • Determine the number of adults to meet the girl/adult ratio.
  • Allow time to order materials and badges needed.
  • Decide if registration numbers meet the minimum required to hold the program.
  • Have time to mail confirmation letters or cancellation letters.

Visit our FAQs page for information on refunds and other policies.
