Journey Through Girl Scouting: 1992-2012 - Cheyenne (Grades K - 12)
Join us for the final Journey Through Girl Scouting event, inspired by our founder and trailblazer Juliette Gordon Low.
Our odyssey began on the steps of the Montana Capitol in Helena, Montana to kick off the Year of the Girl and Girl Scouts 100th anniversary. We journeyed to Casper, Billings, Cody, and Missoula, and close the adventure in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Join us for the Finale Centennial Sing-A-Long at noon on August 18 on the Wyoming state capitol steps. All Girl Scouts (past and present), friends, family, and Girl Scout supporters are invited to attend. There is no cost to attend!
Following the Sing-A-Long, journey onto the Laramie County Fairgrounds, home to Wyoming's oldest and largest county fair, for the Journey Through Girl Scouting 1992-2012 event. All attendees must be registered to attend the Journey Through Girl Scouting portion of the event.
Girl Scouts will explore the 90s and 2000s through a variety of interactive booths featuring S.T.E.M. programs and technological developments of the era. Girls will enjoy fun crafts like CD art, 'Go Green' activities, lego robotics, and regional science experiments provided by University of Wyoming students and instructors. Dig out your best 90s look for a Girl Scout-palooza dance party. Come for the day only or sleep over with a movie and popcorn.
All girls registering for the event must have a current Girl Scout membership, and Adults staying for the sleepover must have a current Girl Scout Membership as well. Dinner and breakfast is included in the sleepover fee. Overnight sleeping space is limited, so register early to ensure overnight accommodations. We will be sleeping on the floor so please come prepared with a sleeping pad and bag.
The event will conclude on Sunday with a closing flag ceremony and a Girl Scout's Own reflecting on the new century of Girl Scouting.
