Simply Sewing Aprons - Great Falls (2-3)
Sewing is one of the oldest and most useful textile arts. Girls in grades 2nd and 3rd can register for this fun sewing series program to learn the basics of sewing and make an apron that will be perfect for cooking with mom in the kitchen or earning a cooking badge. Participants will learn how to hand sew basic stitches, how to operate a sewing machine and how to follow a pattern.
Girls will learn practical sewing skills, have fun exploring a new hobby with friends, and create something they can keep for years to come.
The program will include fabric for the apron, patterns, and a fun patch. Sewing machines and instruction on how to use them will also be provided. Our instructors are Girl Scout volunteers with many years' sewing experience!
Each girl will make an apron of their own to take home at the end of this program. Supervising adults are asked to register to assist with this event but will not be doing any sewing.
*Please note: The program runs for 7 consecutive Tuesday evenings. Please plan to attend all 7 sessions if registering.
This event is open to girls in grades 2-3 and supervising adults.
