Sign up for positions online here!Under the stars at Fort Missoula\, embark on a two-day camping experience during the fifth of six Journey Through Girl Scouting events. Inspired by founder and trailblazer Juliette Gordon Low\, these events honor a century of Girl Scouting.Missoula\\\'s event takes place July 13 - 15 at historic Fort Missoula and will be focused on the 1970s and 80s\, a time that saw renewed effort to promote career paths for girls and women in science. In reflection of these two decades\, and in celebration of The Year of the Girl\, participants will discover their inner \\\'Girl Scout in Science\\\' by exploring areas of physics\, biology\, engineering\, chemistry\, architecture\, and the world of sound.Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore Historic Fort Missoula with docents on-hand to answer questions\, participate in interactive booths\, run experiments in science\, play games\, sing and learn new songs\, and make new friends!Come for the entire experience\, or just come for a day! You choose your option.Option One: The Early Arriver (click to register online!)Arrive Friday\, July 13. Event registration and campsite check-in runs from 4 - 6 p.m. Welcoming activities will begin at 7 p.m. Option Two: The Early Riser (click to register online!)Arrive Saturday July 14. Event registration and campsite check-in runs from 7 - 9 a.m. Journey Through Girl Scouting activities run from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Older girls (Grades 6 - 12) will be allowed to stay up late for age appropriate activities.Option Three: The Day Tripper (click to register online!)Come for the day on Saturday\, July 14. Event registration for day trippers opens at 8:30 a.m. Journey Through Girl Scouting activities run from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. All Day-Trippers must be registered for the event\, including adults. Girl Day-Trippers must be Girl Scout members.IF REGISTERING VIA PROGRAM REGISTRATION FORM\, INDICATE OPTION. Or register online and pick the package that suits you best.A confirmation letter with activity and schedule details will be mailed followed registration. Participants are not required to attend every booth. Use your discretion as to where you spend your time\, including breaks.For those staying overnight\, quiet time is 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. The event concludes on Sunday at 10 a.m.Fathers may attend with their daughters. If staying overnight\, dads may camp in the troop campsite area\, but must stay in their own tent with only their child or in their own tent alone. All overnight participants must be registered Girl Scout members including adults. We cannot accommodate RVs\, only tent camping.Meals are the responsibility of the attendee. Food may be prepared on camp stoves. Please contact council if you have a question about whether or not your cooking device is approved. No open fire or flames will be allowed at campsites or to prepare food. Attendees are responsible for all necessary supplies to camp out overnight\, including your own tent.Since Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming is not providing meals and overnight supplies\, therefore admission covers activity booths regardless if you are camping or visiting for the day. A complimentary bandanna will be provided to all participants. This bandanna must be worn throughout the event to identify you as a Girl Scout participant.
