Camps & Property

Camping is a great way to build new skills, get a sense of community, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether girls go for a day, a week or longer, Girl Scout camping gives them an opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun—always under the guidance of caring, trained adults.

GSMW believes every girl should have a chance to camp and strives to provide the opportunity to build friendships and learn leadership skills in the great outdoors to as many girls as possible. The outdoor experience is a very important component of Girl Scouting and give girls opportunities to get outside and reconnect with nature. Outdoor programs centered on camping build upon the values taught in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience – those which are girl-led and represent cooperative learning and learning by doing.
