Dabi’s been inspired by all the great places Girl Scouts travel, and she decided to have an adventure of her own. After spinning a globe she found herself pointing at Scotia, New York.
Scotia is an historic village in Schenectady County, New York, and Dabi stayed at the Glen Sanders Mansion. In 1658, Alexander Lindsey Glen purchased the land that the town of Scotia sits on from the Mowhawk Indians. The village grew and eventually merged with the village of Reeseville to become the town of Scotia.
The next morning Dabi went for a brisk swim in one of the local ponds and then dug for some facts on the Glen Sanders Mansion, which was originally built in 1713. Many famous people, including George Washington and Louis Philippe of France, have visited the mansion.
After exploring Scotia, Dabi hopped on the next flight home. While switching planes in Denver, Dabi hung out with some of the locals!
