2013 Girl Scouts of
Montana and Wyoming Annual Meeting
REGISTER NOW! The 2013 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Dinner will be in Billings on April 19 and 20 at the Billings Historic Depot. Activities and fees for the 2 day event are as follows:
Friday Night, April 19th
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DINNER — GSUSA adult recognition awards and motivational key note speaker
Check in 4:30-5:30pm
Friday Night Activities & Dinner ONLY $15—Early Bird registration by April 10 at 5:00 pm
$20.00—registration April 11 – April 17 (Regretfully, no registrations may be accepted after April 17)
Please join us for a classically delicious roast beef buffet dinner and an inspirational Keynote presentation by Wendy Samson, President of FutureSYNC International. Wendy will deliver a fun and energizing message focusing on the power and empoWErment of collective beliefs, values and standards combined with lessons in laughter and womanhood. Be moved and motivated by Wendy and by the accomplishments of many of your peers who will be honored this evening for their selfless and significant contributions to the Girl Scout program.
Wendy is “One of the most thought provoking introspective speakers you’ll ever meet.”
VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DINNER
VOLUNTEER Award recipients will receive their dinner at no charge. Friends, relatives and supporters are cordially invited to attend and help us salute the extraordinary efforts of our most appreciated volunteers.

OPTION 1. Be a Friend First (Middle School girls anti bullying program): BFF allows middle school girls an opportunity to provide positive change in the culture of their school through participation in this 6 week series. Come to this training and find out who to contact in your community about starting a BFF program, how to on board volunteers and what support Council can offer.
OPTION 2. K-5 Condensed Troop: k-5 condensed troops allow girls to participate through a flexible leadership experience. Come to this training and learn how to partner with after school programs in your community, tie in Journey’s, badges, Financial Literacy and recruit/train volunteers to implement programs.
OPTION 3. Facilitator Connection: This workshop is for existing GSMW facilitators to receive updates on training options, look into planning for next year and connect with fellow facilitators.

One activity will be to assemble activity kits for homeless kids staying at the Montana Rescue Mission’s Women and Family shelter. Please click here for a printable PDF: 2013 GSMW Annual Meeting – Community Service Project to see a suggested list of items you can collect and bring with you for this worthwhile activity. In an effort to conserve, the MRM has also requested reusable water bottles/cups for all ages. Please bring your collected items with you; activity kits will be assembled on Saturday.
GSMW Store will be set up in the “Board Room” midway between the Baggage Room and Passenger Station rooms.
Store hours—
Friday: 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 pm and
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

The SWAPtacular Annual Meeting 2013 features time-honored Girl Scout tradition as well as opportunities to swap your own S.W.A.P.S. and create even more. You will have opportunities to network and learn creative new ideas from your peers! BRING YOUR SWAPS!

Take exit #450/MT-3/27Th Street.
Turn onto S 27th St (MT-3).
Turn right onto Montana Ave (I-90-BL E).
Your destination on Montana Ave (I-90-BL E) is on the right
Billings Historic Depot, 2310 Montana Ave.
Guest parking is available in the East and West Parking Lots on Saturday and Sunday. Street parking in the area is also available. The Parking lots are not available between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A limited number of spaces are available in the West Lot in the spaces with Depot complex signs posted.
DRIVING TO THE BEST WESTERN CLOCKTOWER INN:
From Interstate 90:
Take exit #450/MT-3/27Th Street.
Turn onto S 27th St (MT-3).
Turn right onto Montana Ave (I-90-BL E).
Turn left onto N 25th St.
Turn left onto 1st Ave N (I-90-BL W).
Your destination on 1st Ave N (I-90-BL W) is on the right
Best Western Clocktower Inn, 2511 1st Ave N
For guests of the Clocktower Inn: transportation will be available if needed.
The Clocktown Inn may be reached at 1-800-628-9081 or online at www.bwclocktowerinn.com. The Clocktower Inn is about 4 blocks from the Depot at 2511 1st Ave North, in downtown Billings. The Depot is located at 2310 Montana Ave.
Transportation will be available for Clocktower guests who are unable to walk the 4 blocks. If you are staying at the Clocktower and need transportation, please arrange it with the front desk.
